A stay in a refined environment, marked with charm and rich history in a green scenery, in the heart of AOC Cheverny appellation vineyards and close to the famous chateau which inspired Hergé for his Adventures of Tintin comics.
Enjoy your guest house’s open air swimming pool, then follow the cycling paths leading to the numerous chateaux of the area.

Day 1: Arrival in Fougères sur Bièvre + bike excursion

Enjoy your guest house, its beautiful garden or its open air swimming pool!

Do not miss to visit the feudal Château of Fougères-sur-Bièvre which perfectly represents the 15th century in a nice rustic village.

Or take advantage of the day by taking one of the excursions described below.

- Excursion to Chambord | 67 km

A stage in Sologne, first to Chateau of Villesavin before reaching the famous Chateau of Chambord, where a stop is essential to visit the most majestic château of the Loire Valley. In its Renaissance splendour, the Château de Chambord boasts no less than 440 rooms.

 

- Excursion to Cheverny | 48 km

Your itinerary takes you through fields and vineyards, via the tiny and charming Renaissance Château de Troussay, and via the Château de Cheverny, remarkable for its sumptuously furnished and decorated apartments, which inspired Hergé's vision of Marlinspike in the adventures of Tintin!
Do not forget to taste the local ‘Cheverny ‘wine in one of the numerous cellars situated on your route!

 

- Excursion to Chaumont-sur-Loire | 42 km

Passing by the countryside before reaching the Loire banks. Ride along this royal river to Chaumont sur Loire where you can visit the nice 15th century château overlooking the Loire and its extraordinary international "Gardens Festival"!

How to arrive in FOUGERES SUR BIEVRE:

 

CAR:
From A10 highway > Exit n° 17 « Blois ». Then follow direction « Blois - Limoges ». Follow D174 and D956 direction « Chitenay ». Follow D38 up to Fougères.

 

TRAIN:
From Paris : Austerlitz train station > Blois train station.


Possibility of taxi transfer to the hotel from Blois train station: about €35 during the week and about €50 during the night or on Sunday.

 

PLANE:

. From Roissy CDG airport : Roissy Charles de Gaulle T.2 train station > St Pierre des Corps train station > Blois train station.
