Your cycling tour in Normandy:

Between green pastures and apple orchards, half timbered manor houses and waves lapping on the “Côte Fleurie” seaside, we invite you to stay along the Norman coasts where traditions and authenticity make a delicious combination.

At the beginning of your trip, immerse yourself in World War II heritage all along the landing beaches.

Day 1 : Arrival in Bayeux

Do not miss to admire the amazing 11th century Bayeux Tapestry showing the conquest of England by William Duke of Normandy.

Day 2 : Excursion to the Landing beaches | 52 km

A loop to the landing beaches such as Omaha beach with the possibility to continue to the ‘Pointe du Hoc’. Then, ride to the landing beaches such as Omaha beach, with the possibility to continue to the ‘Pointe du Hoc’. Proceed to Colleville-sur-mer where lies the moving American Military cemetary before riding small countryside routes through typical small villages before reaching Bayeux.

Day 3 : Bayeux – Caen | 57 km

Cycling to Arromanches where you can see some vestiges of the “Mulberry” artificial harbour conceived by W. Churchill floating in the sea. Continue along the coast to Courseulles-sur-Mer and go back inland to reach the nice town of Caen with its 2 splendid abbeys.

Day 4 : Caen – Cabourg | 30 km

After having crossed the Pegasus bridge, where the English army won an important victory in 1944, it’s time to enjoy a coastal ride and discover the magnificent “Côte Fleurie” and the charmingly elegant town of Cabourg.

Day 5 : Cabourg – Honfleur | 50 km

Back to the “Pays d’Auge” area reaching the village of Beaumont-en-Auge with its colorful half timbered cottages before reaching Deauville. Continue cycling along the coast to reach Honfleur and its charming harbor.

" Great family trip "

I had promised my son a trip to Normandy after he graduated. 10 years later, we did this bike tour. It was well organized and the logistics were flawless. The bikes were comfortable and well equipped. We had a great time together and especially enjoyed the Canadian War exhibit. We did not know how much the Canadians did on D-day! I would recommend this trip to biking enthusiasts since 50 km a day on French roads is a lot (it is not all flat!)”

Rando Velo were very helpful with all the stages of the booking including helping me with trains and transport inside France. I would definitely recommend them but do think that the daily directions could be improved
