Bordeaux is known all over the world thanks to its famous vineyards.
So, that city full of cultural and historical places is the logical starting point for your cycling trip.
Get carried away by the sweet atmosphere and follow an itinerary which will guide you from the ‘Entre deux mers’ area to the land of ‘Haut Médoc’. Smell the delicate and fruity fragrances spreading from the famous wine properties bearing suggestive names, and dream about the glorious & turbulent past of the old properties you will cross.
Your cycling tour in the great Bordeaux vineyards:
Day 1: Arrival in Bordeaux
From your ideally located hotel, discover Bordeaux, with its numerous green and flowered open spaces, its exceptional heritage, and then its quality of life naturally punctuated with gastronomic pleasures and night parties.
Day 2: Bordeaux – Cadillac | 49 km
Proud of its new transport facilities, Bordeaux has given a large access to bikes ! This way, easily leave the town centre to ride on an original and rustic cycling path which will lead you to Créon, a typical fortified village of the area ! Then continue through the vineyards of Cadillac to the village's surrounding walls.
Day 3: Cadillac – Saint-Emilion | 50 km
This stage will allow you to ride through the heart of ‘Entre-deux Mers’ vineyards, from the Garonne river to the Dordogne river. You will have the opportunity to visit the charming village of Rauzan, overlooked by its dignified medieval chateau, before reaching the prestigious village of Saint-Emilion, one of the richest historical heritage villages.
Day 4: Saint-Emilion – Blaye | 64 km
Leave this city symbol of the greatest vintage wines to ride along Bordeaux vineyards and the ‘Bordeaux Supérieur’ terroir then continue to ‘Côtes de Blaye’ AOC vineyards. Blaye is also known for its dignified and magnificent citadel overlooking the Gironde river, which has been built by Vauban during the 17th century and has been classified as historical heritage.
Day 5: Blaye – Bordeaux | 61 km (+ option Pauillac 20 km)
Take in some invigorating sea air! Start this ride with a Gironde river boat crossing to reach Lamarque and its Médoc vineyards. For the most courageous and for the vintage wine lovers, an escapade towards Pauillac is a must ! Then, for a wonderful finish, make a stop at the prestigious Château Margaux and reach Bordeaux.
Departure in the afternoon.
Possibility to add an extra night in Bordeaux.

Pascal P. (France) - Octobre 2016
"Très bonne organisation, pas de problème . Circuit et hôtels conforment au descriptif ."
-
Annie S. (Australia) - October 2016
"We researched a few companies and decided on this one because their prices were good and they offer a good range of trip routes. The E-bikes were a brilliant choice for us ( 69 and 62 years) as we hadn't cycled for about 15 years. The hotels were quaint, clean and hospitable, especially St Emilion and Blaye."
-
Thérèse H. (Irland) - Août 2016
"We had a great trip. Good bikes that were lovely to cycle and the staff adjusted the saddle height to suit us very well. Lovely hotels overall with good food and boutique feel. Bags always arrived on time and hotels let us check in early. Really enjoyed this well organised trip."

Stéphanie P. (Suisse) - Août 2016
"Expérience magnifique, 4 jours suffisants pour une première, organisation irréprochable sur tous points de vue."
