Enjoy your cycling stay in the best deluxe chateaux-hotels of the Loire Valley. These sumptuous residences will guarantee you comfort and a warm welcome.

Along the Loire Valley area, discover wonderful treasures of art and architecture, beautiful landscapes and taste the refined flavours of local gastronomy accompanied by prestigious local wines.

Your cycling tour in the Loire Valley :

Day 1: Arrival in Amboise

~~~ Accommodation in a 18th century residence built between the Loire river, terraced gardens and troglodyte dwellings ! The panoramic restaurant offers a beautiful view over the Loire River !
Day 2: Amboise – Montbazon | 48 km
Follow the "Loire à Vélo" cycling paths through the vineyards of Montlouis and its numerous wine cellars producing the famous sweet or sparkling white wines. You will have the opportunity to reach the beautiful château de la Bourdaisière famous for its vegetable gardens: a tomato conservatory producing more than 650 varieties … unique in the world! Then proceed along the Touraine countryside to reach your next chateau-hotel.
~~~ Accommodation in this exquisite residence built by the famous perfumer Coty in the style of the 18th century, with dazzling white stones that contrast with the green 12 acres park, overlooking the Indre river Valley. The entrance to the property leads through the forest to the striking discovery of French style Gardens and a majestic, elegant chateau

Day 3: Montbazon – Chenonceaux | 35 km

Ride along the tortuous Indre river to reach the Cher Valley by crossing vineyards and typical small Touraine villages. Then, you will discover Chenonceaux, famous for its Renaissance château spanning the Cher river still steeped in the memories of the famous French History ladies : Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Médicis.

~~~ Accommodation in a former coaching inn dating from the 18th century, close to the château de Chenonceau. This house has preserved the erstwhile atmosphere and charm while providing comfortable rooms and a highly reputed gastronomic restaurant.
Day 4: Chenonceaux – Cheverny | 46 km
Ride along the peaceful Cher river banks to the medieval town of Montrichard. Then leave the Cher Valley and enter the vineyards of Touraine via the Château du Gué Péan and the Château de Fougères-sur-Bièvre, a small fortified castle which perfectly illustrates the local building arts of the 15th century, before reaching Cheverny.
~~~ Accommodation in a residence located in a 15 acres park, shared between its 15th and 18th century château and its superbly restored pavilions. The enchanting surroundings of the place create an atmosphere of tranquility, in the rooms which offer a view of the park or the courtyard.

Day 5: Excursion to Chambord | 50 km

A 1st bike ride through the ‘Sologne’ area and its beautiful countryside to the château de Villesavin before reaching the prestigious ‘Domaine de Chambord’ where a stop is essential to visit the most famous and majestic château of the Loire Valley. In its Renaissance splendour, the Château de Chambord boasts no less than 440 rooms.

Day 6: Cheverny – Amboise | 46 km

Cross the ‘Cheverny’ vineyards up to the château de Fougères, then continue cycling along the Loire river via Chaumont sur Loire and its chateau before reaching the nice town of Amboise overlooked by its Royal Chateau where the most important kings of France lived. Do not forget to visit the Manoir du Clos Lucé where Leonardo da Vinci lived his last 3 years, invited by his friend Francis I.
