The Rhône valley is bordered by two regions rich in history and wild landscapes: the Ardèche and the Drôme Provençale.

along former railway lines. Cycling is an excellent way to admire the region’s rich built heritage, particularly its many engineering structures such as bridges, tunnels and viaducts.
To the east, the Drôme Provençale invites you to discover its hilltop villages, crafts, vineyards and unmissable lavender fields. You’ll be won over by the authenticity of its white stone villages, some of which have been voted “Most Beautiful Villages in France”, such as Grignan, magnificently overlooked by its Renaissance château, and La Garde Adhémar. And there’s no shortage of gastronomic delights to be found here, too, with truffles, Nyons olive oil and picodon. And there’s no doubt that as you pedal through the vineyards (cultivated between lavender, olive groves and aromatic gardens) you’ll be tempted to taste the sun-drenched, gourmet wines of the Grignan-Les-Adhémar appellation.
