Day 1 : Arrival at Lisbon

Discover the sights of the capital, stroll along the lively banks of the Tejo and enjoy Portuguese hospitality.

Day 2 : Lisbon - Szetubal | 65 km + boat

The cycle path takes you along the River Tejo to the port. After a short ferry crossing on the wide river, you reach Seixal and start your bike tour. You cross the peninsula to the south and admire the Arrábida Nature Park with its impressive rock formations. Breathtaking views of the coastline follow almost from minute to minute, with beautiful bays for swimming and sunbathing. Today your destination is Setúbal, where the Lisbon aristocracy built palaces and estates as early as the 16th century.

Day 3 : Setubal - Sines | 70 km + boat

In the morning, take the ferry across the Sado estuary nature reserve. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of dolphins during the crossing. The stage begins on the Troia peninsula, with its beautiful beaches and distinctive landscapes. That’s why you’ll probably be surprised by the rice fields, which you’d never have imagined in this region – a truly special sight. You’ll continue on your way, passing beautiful sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters, fields of flowers and verdant vineyards. Villages with whitewashed houses are also characteristic and particularly charming. In Sines, you can stroll along the promenade, visit the castle or enjoy the slow pace of the town.

Day 4 : Sines | Vila Nova de Mil Fontes | 40 km

The Costa Vicentina Natural Park, one of Europe’s most unspoilt coastal regions, will captivate you with its many impressions. Breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, fantastic beaches, small ports and authentic fishing villages will entice you to take a short break. In the evening, enjoy the atmosphere of the coastal town of Vila Nova de Mil Fontes. Here, too, a fantastic sandy beach opens up before you.

Day 5 : Vila Nova de Mil Fontes - Aljezur | 70 km

You continue your route through the wonderful Costa Vicentina Natural Park, with its varied flora and fauna. Impressively high cliffs characterize today’s tour, and you can feel the refreshing Atlantic breeze on your face and all around you. You’ll spend the night in the village of Aljezur, just a few kilometers from the coast, and experience the rural architecture of the villages typical of this region. High above the village stands the small, historic castle, offering a beautiful view over the fertile land.

Day 6 : Aljezur - Sagres | 60 km

You’ll experience a unique moment on the last stage. Cape St. Vincent, the most south-westerly point in Europe, with its famous lighthouse and the “last fried sausage before America” – it’s a special experience to land here for a selfie with your bike. It’s only a few kilometers to Sagres. Your final stop, with its vast cultural heritage, is one of the Algarve’s most important towns. The high cliffs that frame the idyllic sandy beaches are particularly spectacular.
