Your cycling trip in Alsace:

Discover the famous Alsase vineyards along the Alsace Wineroad cycle trail. From Colmar “the Little Venice” to the “Petite France” in Strasbourg (listed on as a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
This bike tour will bring you through the prestigious vineyards on the Alsace wine road cycle trail, offering splendid views over the most beautiful villages of the area. The half-timbered houses adorned with geraniums of Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr, Kaysersberg, Barr or Obernai will immerse yourself in a very delightful ambience.

After having a look at the very impressive and medieval château de Haut-Koenigsbourg, on its rocky outcrop, you deserve a glass of this typical Alsace wine, full of freshness and elegantly fruity!

Day 1 : Arrival in Colmar

Capital of the Alsace wines, Colmar and its “Little Venice” are worth a visit with its charming old districts (tanner district) and its exceptional museums.

Day 2 : Colmar – Kaysersberg | 31 km

First ride reaching the charming authentic village of Eguisheim and its ramparts. Continue on the famous ‘wine route’ towards Turckheim. Then, reach Kaysersberg, one of the most beautiful cities of Alsace, with an impressive architectural heritage.

Day 3 : Kaysersberg – Sélestat | 26 km + option 16 km

Continue to follow the ‘wine route’, where the landscapes are sprinkled with patches of vineyards and charming and typical small villages such as Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr. These villages, rich in history, have kept all their authenticity and their identity.
Just before reaching Sélestat, you will have the opportunity to conquer of the château Haut Koenigsbourg. Situated on a hill overlooking the valley, this impressive fortress offers a comprehensive picture of the architecture and way of life in a 15th century château.

Day 4 : Sélestat – Obernai | 38 km

Take a look at the château de l’Ortenbourg overlooking the vineyards before reaching the the pretty village of Dambach-la-ville then Barr and its beautiful flowery square. The Alsace Wine Route continues to the medieval city of Obernai with its charming paved streets punctuated with tiny pretty squares.

Day 5 : Obernai – Strasbourg | 39 km

On this last bike stage, meander through the vineyards to Molsheim, a very pretty wine town. Then follow the bike path along the “Canal de la Bruche”: one of the most beautiful greenway in Alsace, with its shady banks and old locks! This bike path will lead you to Strasbourg. " An excellent bike trip in Alsace with RandoVelo "

My daughter and I had an excellent bike trip in Alsace with RandoVelo. The routes were well-planned and the maps and directions were very clear. The RandoVelo staff were very helpful and available — they responded immediately when a small problem arose that was not even their fault. I would definitely travel with RandoVelo again, and am recommending it to all of my friends.
