Your cycle tour in Alsace :

From the historic center of Colmar, you discover a rich heritage with towns and villages of character, steeped in history with their colorful half-timbered houses. You travel along peaceful cycle paths in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards and along the Rhône-Rhine canal and Colmar. The circuit offers you multiple discoveries, including gastronomic ones!

Day 1 : Arrival in Colmar

Take the time to discover Colmar, a city of Art and History with an exceptional heritage. Do not miss the essentials: the picturesque district of Little Venice, the Dominican Church or the Collegiate Church of Saint Martin. The Maison des Têtes and the Maison Pfister houses are also worth a visit.

Day 2 : Colmar – Kaysersberg | 30 km

First ride reaching the charming authentic village of Eguisheim and its ramparts. Continue on the famous ‘wine route’ towards Turckheim. Overlooked by the imperial fortress of Hohlandsbourg, the city still radiates a medieval atmosphere with these several hundred years old stone houses. Then, reach Kaysersberg, one of the most beautiful cities of Alsace, with an impressive architectural heritage.

Day 3 : Kaysersberg – Sélestat | 25 km + option 16 km

Continue to follow the ‘wine route’, where the landscapes are sprinkled with patches of vineyards and charming and typical small villages such as Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr. These villages, rich in history, have kept all their authenticity and their identity.
Just before reaching Sélestat, you will have the opportunity to conquer of the château Haut Koenigsbourg. Situated on a hill overlooking the valley, this impressive fortress offers a comprehensive picture of the architecture and way of life in a 15th century château.
The stage ends in Sélestat, a city of Art and history, with its historic center and its Humanist Library.

Day 4 : Sélestat – Colmar | 46 km

At the bottom of the massive Haut-Koenisbourg fortress, take advantage of the shuttle to visit the castle. Leave Sélestat behind for a flat stage through the Grand Ried of Alsace, a territory preserved for the richness of fauna and flora. Along the water by the cycle path along the canal, you reach the Art City of Colmar and its characteristic Alsatian atmosphere. You will discover the wine capital of Alsace with its remarkable architecture and the “Little Venice” district, charming with its canals and its covered market.
