A magnificent tour which will take you to the heart of Brittany, a region with many faces, where villages and châteaux, coasts and woods nicely and harmoniously nestle between land and sea.
A journey through time, crowned by the “Wonder of the West”, Mont-Saint-Michel, and the Cité Corsaire of Saint Malo, via the very pretty Côte d’Emeraude or emerald coast.

Day 1Arrival in Saint Malo
Take the time to discover Saint-Malo, the fabulous “cité des corsairs” or pirate city: Saint Malo! Many legends are still haunting the narrow streets of the centre of this town fortified by Vauban!
Day 2Saint-Malo – Le Vivier sur Mer | 41 km
Ride along the coast via ‘Pointe du Grouin’, a wonderful point of view facing the sea, before reaching the charming and typical port of Cancale famous for the oyster farms. Enjoy this picturesque fishing harbour offering a wonderful site seeing over the Mont St Michel bay. Continue along the seaside to Le Vivier sur Mer, keeping the Mont St Michel in sight.
Day 3Le Vivier sur Mer – Pontorson | 33 km
Leave the oyster parks of Vivier sur mer to reach the fantastic “Mont Saint Michel”! This rocky islet rises in the bay for more than thousand years and has kept its tradition of welcoming visitors. Enjoy a walk through the authentic medieval streets along timber framed houses. Continue with a visit of the abbey and loose your mind in the labyrinth of the numerous surrounded walls of the city. Then follow the Couesnon Valley to Pontorson.
Day 4Pontorson – Combourg | 49 km
A stage taking you through the heart of the Breton inlands, punctuated with forests, lakes and little villages. Complete tour stage in the beautiful town of Combourg famous for its medieval fortresses overlooking the “Lac Tranquille” and where the writer Chateaubriand spent his childhood.
Day 5Combourg – Dinan | 34 km
At every village, leave the cycling path and discover the heart of the inner lands villages of Brittany. Then reach the splendid Medieval City of Dinan surrounded by walls. Enjoy a walk through the numerous pedestrian streets to discover the timbered framed houses and paved routes.
Day 6Dinan – Saint Malo | 35 km
A day ride on a very pleasant and peaceful cycling path at the rhythm of the Rance canal, locks and house boat cruises. Make a stop in Saint-Suliac, a fishing port that is considered as one of France’s most beautiful villages before cycling through the Rance Valley offering unique panoramic views. End your tour in Saint-Malo, the fabulous “cité des corsaires”. Many legends are still haunting the narrow streets!

Excursion to Dinard & Saint Lunaire | 38 km + extra night in St Malo
Embark on a bus boat to cross the Rance river and reach Dinard a beautiful town presenting a fantastic seaside heritage: from beautiful manor-houses facing the sea to magnificent beaches and pathways along the sea. Then ride peacefully along the greenway before reaching the sea again. Make a stop in Saint Lunaire before embarking on the bus boat to enjoy a nice view over Saint-Malo.

The “follow-me” is a clever coupling device that allows you to attach the child’s bike to your bike with ease. It can be removed easily to let the child ride alone.
