La Vélomaritime - Ride The French North Coast!

From the English Channel to the North Sea stretches an exceptional cycle route: the Vélomaritime. For almost 1500 kilometres, this maritime adventure crosses three emblematic regions – Hauts-de-France, Normandy and Brittany – each revealing a unique identity and breathtaking landscapes.

The route reveals a mosaic of mythical sites that have shaped the history of France. From the legendary bay of Mont-Saint-Michel to the breathtaking cliffs of the Côte d’Albâtre, via the emotionally-charged D-Day beaches, each stage tells a new chapter in our heritage.

The route alternates harmoniously between different maritime atmospheres: here the traditional fishing ports of Honfleur with their colourful trawlers, there the elegant seaside resorts of the Côte Fleurie where Deauville and Trouville rival in charm. Nature reigns supreme in unspoilt settings such as the Baie de Somme and the Côte de Granit Rose, while cities of character such as corsair Saint-Malo and medieval Bayeux offer enriching cultural breaks.
