Your cycle tour on the Pink Granit Coast
Get on your bike and treat yourself to a memorable wind-and-wave adventure along Brittany’s northern coastline. Discover magnificent beaches and the picturesque villages of Paimpol and Tréguier, all steeped in authentic Celtic culture. Pedal along the Côte de Granit Rose, famous for its spectacularly colored rocks, and explore the charming island of Bréhat.
Day 1 : Arrival in Paimpol
Take time to walk in Paimpol in its animated and historical center along its little paved roads, or on its fishing port and marina.
Day 2 : Paimpol – Perros-Guirec (via La Vélomaritime) | 46 km
The Vélomaritime takes you in little rural villages along Brittany’s countryside roads. Cross the Trieux and Jaudy estuaries and finish in Perros-Guirec, a well-known sea resort town
Day 3 : Pink Granite Coast excursion | 45 km
Cycle in the heart of the Pink Granite Coast, a surprising coastline: if you look towards the sea, you will see the Sept-Iles (Seven Islands), a birds’ nature reserve and the Costaeres castle, nestled on a little island visible from Ploumanac’h.
Day 4 : Perros-Guirec – Tréguier (along the coast) | 49 km
Leave Perros-Guirec and go along the coast, its ends and beaches, in direction of the Plougrescant chasm. There, the sea surges in a fault between two rocks. Then stop in Tréguier, small historical town known for its cathedral and its timber houses.
Day 5 : Tréguier – Paimpol (along the coast) | 42 km
Cross the Jaudy and cycle towards de Sillon du Talbert. Unique in Europe, this pebble and sand arm goes in the sea for over 3 kilometers and protects the Bay of Paimpol from wind and sea currents. Continue cycling and cross the second estuary of your day, the Trieux.
Day 6 : Excursion on Bréhat island
After a few kilometers by bike and some minutes by boat, you will arrive on Bréhat. Forbidden to cars, enjoy free walking on this timeless – while so close to the continent – island. Nicknamed the « Flower Island », contemplate camellias, mimosas or agapanthus, the symbole of the island.
Return to Paimpol by bike, then departure at the end of the day.
Possibility to plan an extra night in Paimpol.
