From Galway to Clifden, ride the most spectacular cycle routes in the west of Ireland.
In the Burren, admire the karst landscape, marvel at the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher and listen to traditional Irish music.
Then take the ferry to the Aran Islands before continuing on to the magnificent Connemara area.

Day 1 Arrival in Galway
We will bring your rental bike (if booked) and the necessary documents for the personal meeting.
Day 2 Galway - Ballyvaughan | 55km
You leave the city along the coast towards Oranmore and on to Kilcolgan. From here you continue on small back roads. Stop at Kinvarra, a pretty fishing village, before reaching Ballyvaughan. Don’t miss a visit to the Burren Perfume Factory, Ireland’s only perfume manufacturer.
Day 3 Ballyvaughan – Doolin | 42km
Today you will head to the Burren and its unique karst landscape. You will pass through Lisdoonvarna and then make a diversion to the dolmen at Poulnabrone.
You finish the stage in Doolin, a pretty and colourful village.
Day 4 Excursion around Doolin | 43km
Today you will discover the Cliffs of Moher. By bike, hike or boat, the route takes you along the beautiful coastline to Fanore, a popular beach for surfers. The return to Doolin is inland on quiet back roads.
Day 5 Ferry to the Aran Islands (Inishmore)
Cycle back to the harbour, then take the ferry to the largest of the Aran Islands, Inishmore. Visit its points of interest, the archaeological site of Dun Aonghusa, the fort of Dun Duchathair, the churches and the Aran jumper craft.
Day 6 Ferry from Inishmore to Rossaveal then cycle to Clifden | 58km
Enjoy the island again in the morning before taking the ferry to Rossaveal.
You then cycle along the coastline, then through moorland before arriving in Clifden where you spend 2 nights.
Day 7 Clifden Excursion
Today you’ll ride the many cycle routes in the Clifden area, including the famous Skye route with its stunning views. For a longer option, head south via beautiful beaches to the fishing village of Roundstone and its handcrafted violin making.

- At the end of your tour, leave the rental bike at your hotel.

There are 2 airports serving the west: Shannon Airport and Knock Airport. Together with Dublin Airport, they are the three main points of arrival from abroad.
