Your bike route

The clear blue water hits the bow of the boat as it takes you to Evian, on the south shore of Lake Geneva. An idyllic atmosphere awaits you on the way to Yvoire. Feel like taking a dip in the cool water? Taste a glass of wine in one of the many lakeside restaurants? Considered THE diplomatic center par excellence, Geneva offers a striking contrast. Rest assured, you’ll still have plenty of time to explore this fascinating international city before continuing your journey. Well-preserved castles and elegant shopping towns await you on the north shore of the lake. As you cycle through the vineyards of Lavaux, you’ll be delighted to see the azure water, green vines and white peaks rise up before you like a painting. Switzerland has never been more beautiful than on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Tour highlights

  • The surprising Lausanne between Middle Ages and modernity
  • Boat trip across Lake Geneva
  • Amazing scenery from the Lavaux vineyards

Day 1Lausanne - Yvoire | 30 km

You’ll drop off your luggage in Lausanne and take a boat trip to Evian-les-Bains. The journey along the French shore of Lake Geneva offers a unique change of perspective. The shores of Haute-Savoie offer countless opportunities for swimming. The aim of today’s trip is to introduce you to the medieval town of Yvoire.

Day 2Yvoire - Geneva | 30 km

On your journey to the Swiss border, you’ll discover idyllic harbors and beautiful villages. Shortly after crossing the border, you’ll arrive in the village of Hermance. In Cologny, you’ll catch your first glimpse of the jet d’eau that will take you to Geneva.

Day 3Excursion to villages and vineyards from Geneva | 53km

This tour takes you away from the big city, towards the French border. Following the course of the Rhône, you’ll discover charming vineyards and little-known villages. The canton of Geneva is the third largest wine producer in Switzerland. So take the opportunity to sample a fine vintage.

Day 4Geneva - Nyon/Prangins | 45km

You’ll soon leave the city and be driving along the Jura chain, overlooking the shores of Lake Geneva. The little-traveled secondary roads offer magnificent views of the lake and the peaks of the Mont Blanc massif. Spend the night in Nyon, Prangins’ neighboring village. Remarkable castles await you in both towns.

Day 5Nyon/Prangins - Lausanne | 45km

Today, you’ll be staying on the shores of Lake Geneva. Majestic estates and perfectly manicured beaches will add a special touch to this beautiful day. In the second part of this day’s stage, the road climbs gently and leads you towards the vineyards. You’ll pass the shopping town of Morges and reach the promenade of Lausanne almost immediately. The city is home to the headquarters of the Olympic Committee and boasts a museum of Olympic history that is well worth a visit, as is the medieval city center!

Day 6Lausanne - Montreux | 35 ou 41 km

Expect a unique experience at the end of the tour! Traditional dry-stone walls, countless wine cellars and breathtaking views will make this ride through the Lavaux vineyards one of the most beautiful bike tours you can do in Switzerland. You’ll then continue along the shores of Lake Geneva via Vevey to Montreux. If you wish, you can extend the tour as far as Chillon Castle. Once you’ve arrived in Montreux, hand over your luggage and depart on your own.
