The ideal trip for the ones who want to enjoy the peaceful and magnificent scenery. Start with an original view of the countryside by bike on the cycling path at the rhythm of the Ille et Rance Canal from Rennes to Saint Malo! Then take time to enjoy the “Corsaires Town” of Saint Malo, its beaches along the charming Emerald coast and the beautiful fishing ports and villages all around.

Departure days (DAY 1): SATURDAY & THURSDAY

Day 1 Arrival in Rennes
Capital of Art and History, discover the historical neighbourhoods of this typical Breton city. You will stroll along the paved streets with half-timbered houses to the majestic Parliament House dating from the 17th century.
Day 2 Rennes – Hédé | 41 km
Leave this animated Breton capital using the cycling paths which will lead you to the ‘Voie Verte’. Cycle now along the peaceful Canal punctuated by typical green landscapes.
Day 3 Hédé – Dinan | 37 km
Continue cycling along the Canal from one river lock to the next. You will pass farmlands and fields bordered by hedges and trees, and several typical villages of Brittany. Then, the majestic Mediaeval city of Dinan will appear in front of you!
Day 4 Dinan – Dinard – Saint-Malo | 24 km
Reach the banks of the Rance Valley which presents unique landscapes. Then follow the ‘Voie Verte’ paths to Dinard, a beautiful town presenting a fantastic seaside heritage : from beautiful manor-houses facing the sea to magnificent beaches and pathways along the sea.
Then embark on a bus boat to enjoy a nice view over Saint-Malo.
Day 5 Departure during the day
Before leaving, save time to visit Saint-Malo, the the fabulous “cité des corsaires” or pirate city. Many legends are still haunting the narrow streets of the centre of this town fortified by Vauban!
Possibility to plan 1 or 2 additional cycling excursions, from Saint-Malo:
– an excursion to Saint Suliac, a sumptuous fishing port listed among the “most beautiful villages in France” (37 km).
– an excursion to Cancale, famous for its oyster culture, offering wonderful views over the bay of Mont St Michel (38 km).

We provide bikes and equipment for children such as :

(for children from 5 to 8 years old – about 1,05m / 1,30m – from 3’5’’ to 4’4’’)
The “follow-me” is a clever coupling device that allows you to attach the child’s bike to your bike with ease. It can be removed easily to let the child ride alone.

Practical details
Bikes will be delivered at the 1st hotel.
At the end of the tour, leave the rental bikes at your hotel, we will pick them up.
Your travel app
You’ll have personalized access to our travel app, which you can download onto your smartphone.
This app includes all your cycling stages, tourist and practical content, as well as your accommodation. The application will guide you along your route, like a GPS, during your cycling stages.
If you would like a printed version of the roadbook (including color maps of your stages), please let us know when you book your trip. It will be provided at your first accommodation.
